Claim It

I made a real interesting observation today. It is so easy to claim truths and scriptures over other people's lives, but so much harder to claim it over our own lives. I have really been led to pray Phil. 4:5-7 over a friend's life right now, which states, "The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything. But in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." As I said, it is so easy to pray this for my friend. To be honest, when this came to my heart, I never even thought twice about praying it for myself. This afternoon, however, one of my other friends said she had a scripture to share with me. Wouldn't you know it was the same exact scripture. She said I am going to claim that over your life. Funny how our God works, right?

All this being said, and as I have previously stated before in blogs (I actually think I talked about this last week), we have to claim the promises and truths of God over our lives, as well as others of course. We have to hold those promises to our Lord, trusting Him that He will wholeheartedly answer the very words He has spoken in His Love Story.

Love Deeply
